Summer Music Festival 2026 – FAQ
General
- 01A: The schedule will be provided to participants in late June 2026.
- 02A: Due to the high volume of submissions, we are reviewing applications and releasing in batches. If you have not yet received a notification, your application is still actively under review. Please continue to check your email for updates.
- 03A: For non-local participants, they must stay at Village CARE. Local participants can live off campus if they inform us in advance. Please keep in mind that opting out of housing does not reduce or deduct from the total camp fee.
- 04A: You may submit relevant requests in advance for our consideration and arrangements. Please note that the final room allocation cannot be guaranteed to match your selection.
- 05A: Safety & Departure Rules Participants are expected to stay on campus for the duration of the event to fully engage in all scheduled activities. If leaving campus becomes necessary, the following protocols must be met: Advance Notice: Camp leaders must be informed of the departure and the reason in advance. Guardian Consent: Underaged participants must provide prior written authorization from a parent or legal guardian before they are permitted to leave. The University assumes no responsibility or liability for the safety of participants once they leave the campus grounds.
- 06A: All participants are covered by the Group Personal Accident Insurance policy, including activities taken place in the HKBU campus, or any official excursions. While we strongly advise participants to purchase policies for their specific needs like instrument, travel, or medical coverage.
- 07A: Audit pass is not available this year, participation is limited to those successfully admitted and by invitation only.
- 08A: Our priority is to ensure a high-quality program experience, so we will keep reviewing the quality of all applications and auditions for deciding the final number of spots.
- 09A: We will only provide a receipt hardcopy to participants in-person before the end of the event. To request further confirmation message, please send an email to jcch-hkbu@hkbu.edu.hk, with below details: Please ensure you have made payment before the deadline (late payments will not be eligible for any payment proof) with a valid proof of payment (must include the participant's full name listed in the "Payment Notes") Due to the large number of applications, payment confirmation messages will be sent approximately one month later.
- 10A: All withdrawal requests must be sent in writing to your camp contact. Refunds are calculated based on when your message is received. Please Note: Exceptional circumstances, such as withdrawals due to medical reasons, will be reviewed and handled at the sole discretion of the Summer Camp Project Team. To be considered for an exception, relevant supporting documentation (e.g., a valid medical certificate) must be provided upon request.
