Strengthen your choral skills through different styles of music, from classical to spirituals, while rehearsing in our state-of-the-art music facilities. Whether you’re new to choral singing or already an experienced singer, you’ll leave with practical skills, expanded repertoire, and new friendships. Meet our Artist Teachers
Dr. Jamie Hillman, Associate Professor, Faculty of Music, University of Toronto

Dr. Jamie Hillman is a distinguished Canadian American conductor, educator, and musician. He holds the Elmer Iseler Chair in Conducting at the University of Toronto, where he directs choral studies and leads the MacMillan Singers. A Senior Fellow at Massey College, he has received the Faculty of Music Teaching Award for excellence in education.
As an active guest conductor and adjudicator, Dr. Hillman has worked with ensembles across North America, Asia, and Europe, including performances at Carnegie Hall. He has premiered works by leading composers and adjudicated for prestigious competitions worldwide.
As a tenor, he has performed major choral orchestral works and sung with renowned ensembles like the Elmer Iseler Singers and Toronto Mendelssohn Singers. His scholarly and pedagogical contributions include published articles and choral arrangements.
Dr. Hillman holds degrees from Western University, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and Boston University. A 2012 Ontario Arts Council laureate, he was inducted into Western University’s Alumni Wall of Fame in 2024. His upcoming engagements include international residencies and guest conducting.
Dr. Po-Kwan Law, Senior Lecturer, Academy of Music, Hong Kong Baptist University

A conductor and pianist born in Hong Kong, Dr. Law Po-Kwan is a senior lecturer at the HKBU Academy of Music and the conductor of Cantoría Hong Kong and Polymnia. Dr. Law has been a sought-after guest conductor, adjudicator, choral and orchestral clinician, frequently invited to collaborate as a guest conductor with numerous academic and professional chorus and orchestra, such as the Oberlin College Choir, San Francisco Conservatory Baroque Ensemble, Illinois Chamber Orchestra, Macao Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra Chorus, and more.
Dr. Law received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in choral conducting from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she was the recipient of the Schuetz H. Warren Memorial Scholarship for conducting and teaching excellence. Under the auspices of the Dean’s Talent Award, and the generosity of the Conservatory scholarships, she holds three master's degrees from Berlin Conservatory of Music, San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign respectively.

Eligibility
Participants aged 9 to 18
Participants with choral or music training experience are welcome
Audition
The choir has limited slots in each voice part; summer camp participants will be selected based on their auditions.
For Local Students
Applicants are required to attend face-to-face auditions.
Face-to-face auditions will be held at Hong Kong Baptist University in May/ June 2026
Applicants will receive an email with details of the audition within one week of submitting their application
For Mainland China & Overseas Students
Applicants are required to submit an audition video of themselves singing the vocal exercises below:
Accompanied by yourself or this video backing track (linked), Sing arpeggio “Do–Mi–So–Mi–Do” on the syllables "Fa" ascending in half steps from D Major (D4) until you reach the limit of your comfortable range.
Accompanied by yourself or this video backing track (linked), sing “So–Fa–Mi–Re–Do” with the syllables “Na Non Na Non Na” Descending from D Major (D4), until you reach the limit of your comfortable range.
The video should show a full view of the applicant, particularly of the face

Accommodation
Students under the age of 12 must reside with their parent or guardian in Dr. Ng Tor Tai International House (NTTIH)
Students aged 12 or above are required to live in Village CARE
Tuition Fee
Early Bird Price for applications submitted before 30 April 2026
HK$7,900 HK$6,900
Accommodation included.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation and meals.
Tuition fee is due only after successful audition and acceptance.
