Designed for aspiring and experienced percussionists, this exclusive camp offers personalised 1-on-1 lessons with leading artists, inspiring masterclasses and open performance sessions, ensemble coaching, and a diverse percussion repertoire that includes original compositions by Michael Burritt and Pius Cheung. Michael Burritt, Professor of Percussion, Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester

Having performed on four continents, Prof. Michael Burritt is one of his generation’s most accomplished percussionists. He is in frequent demand, performing concert tours and master classes throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Canada. He has three solo recordings, including the Joseph Schwantner Percussion Concerto on the Albany label, and recently released a new recording of solo and chamber works by Alejandro Viñao in collaboration with Third Coast Percussion. He was featured with the world-renowned percussion group Nexus on their album titled Home, featuring his work Home Trilogy.
Prof. Burritt is currently the Head of the Percussion Department at Eastman School of Music, where he is only the third person in history of the school to hold this position. Active as a composer, his works for solo marimba and chamber percussion have become standard repertoire and have been recorded by many artists.
Pius Cheung, Professor of Percussion, School of Music and Dance, University of Oregon

Acclaimed for his "deeply expressive" (The New York Times) performance of Bach’s Goldberg Variations on solo marimba, Prof. Pius Cheung captivates audiences worldwide with his virtuosity and artistry. A dynamic soloist, he has graced stages at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Beijing’s NCPA, and major festivals across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
As one of the most leading composers for percussion today, Prof. Cheung’s latest works include Allegro Brutale (commissioned by Dame Evelyn Glennie), Hibiki (marimba concerto), and pieces for the Ju Percussion Group, including Heaven and Earth and Princess Chang Ping (marimba concerto), are celebrated for their innovation and lyricism.
An esteemed educator, Prof. Cheung serves as Professor and Chair of Percussion at the University of Oregon and gives masterclasses at top institutions, including the Juilliard School, Curtis Institute of Music, Manhattan School of Music, Amsterdam Conservatory, and Paris Conservatory. He is a sought-after competition judge and endorses Yamaha, Zildjian, Remo, and his signature mallets with Innovative Percussion.
Eriko Daimo, Faculty, Percussion, The Juilliard School Pre-college Division Artist-in-Residence, Percussion Department, New York University Steinhardt Faculty, Marimba, Kyoto City University of the Arts

Praised for her “mesmerising combination of sound and sight” (Irish Times), Eriko Daimo is a leading marimba virtuoso. She has performed with top orchestras worldwide, including the RTE Ireland National Symphony Orchestra, Tampere Philharmonic in Finland, Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, Sophia Philharmonic in Bulgaria, and given recitals across 25 countries. A frequent guest at major festivals, including New York International Percussion Competition, Taiwan Percussion Convention, and Universal Marimba Festival in Belgium, she also teaches at The Juilliard School Pre-College, New York University and Kyoto City University of the Arts.
As an educator, she has given concerts and masterclasses at music institutions, including Paris Conservatory, Vienna Conservatory, Amsterdam Conservatory, Sibelius Academy, Vancouver Symphony Orchestral Institute, Eastman School of Music, University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in Austria (Artist-In-Residence 2023), among others.

Audition
Video Submissions
Applicants are required to submit one video featuring at least one piece for marimba/ vibraphone/ xylophone/ multiple percussion.

Video must be filmed within two years
An additional piece for marimba/ vibraphone/ snare drum/ timpani/ multiple percussion (optional)
